DHIT Press Release | Nov 14, 2017

Little Green Software and Hatteras Venture Partners have announced they will become members of DHITglobal.org (DHIT), a social venture dedicated to driving digital health innovation across the ecosystem and transforming North Carolina and the Triangle into a global digital health hub. They will join co-founders Bluedoor and the NSF ASSIST Center on a mission to bring together diverse stakeholders from the healthcare, technology, investor, research, business and entrepreneurial communities to play a role in driving the digital health revolution through experiential workshops, thought leadership and Open Innovation events.

Michael Levy, co-founder of DHIT and CEO of Bluedoor, said, “Having these diverse and passionate businesses joining our organization is a testament to the value DHIT is bringing to the marketplace. Our goal is to bring together leaders to drive innovation in healthcare to improve patient outcomes, lower healthcare costs, increase access, and empower the communities we serve. Both of these members bring different but vital perspectives to our digital health ecosystem – healthcare application development, and investment philosophy and discipline – necessary to attract and grow digital health businesses across the state of North Carolina.”

Ed Holzwarth, President of Little Green Software, said, “Innovators in North Carolina are doing incredible work to solve healthcare’s biggest challenges. With the fast pace of innovation, there is enormous value in sharing knowledge and perspectives, and so Little Green Software is proud to support DHIT in its mission to bring this community together.”

John Crumpler, General Partner and Co-founder of Hatteras Venture Partners said, “We are inspired by the vision and passion of the DHIT founders. Recognizing the opportunity in front of us all to make North Carolina a national leader in digital health innovation, we are excited to support and partner in these efforts.”
