K4Connect Hires Chris Romick as Director of Growth
A 20-year veteran in the senior living industry will help the Company increase senior living community deployments
Raleigh, N.C. – October 31, 2017 – K4Connect, a mission-centered technology company creating solutions that serve and empower older adults and individuals living with disabilities, announced today the addition of Chris Romick as its Director of Growth. Romick will report directly to Derek Holt, President of K4Connect.
Romick brings more than two decades of experience across the senior living industry, most recently offering interim executive director and consulting services to communities nationwide through Crome Services. In his role at K4Connect, Romick will be responsible for expanding the Company’s footprint and working directly with senior living communities to ensure their success.
“As our Company continues to grow and expand into new markets, we must add accomplished members to our team in order to help us achieve our mission,” said Holt. “We’re thrilled to have Chris join the K4Connect team! After spending many years in the senior living industry and serving as an executive director at several communities, Chris truly represents that intersection of senior living experience and technology we strive to find.”
Over the years, Romick has gained extensive experience in the senior living industry. He began his career as a licensed nursing home administrator in the state of Ohio. Romick quickly advanced in his career, eventually overseeing multiple communities as well as community expansions. He has been involved in senior housing projects in five states, including holding pre-sales and leadership roles at two full-service continuing care retirement communities (CCRC). In addition, he has also served as part owner of an assisted living and memory care community.
“My diverse background – from nursing home administrator, to marketing, to executive director at large scale CCRCs – has given me a unique ‘360 view’ of what’s needed and desired in a senior living community and the industry at whole – from residences and family to staff and executive management,” said Romick. “I love the work that K4Connect is doing with technology and am eager to help the team enhance the lives of more older adults.”
Romick is a U.S. Navy veteran and holds a BA in Gerontology Administration from Kent State University, and an MBA in Marketing from American Public University. Romick resides in central North Carolina with his wife of 16 years, Gina. Together they have two daughters, Emma and Olivia, and their dog Pippa.
